Bunny Smith

Bunny Smith is an experienced senior counsel in the fields of Privacy and Cybersecurity and is currently the Global Cybersecurity Counsel for Yahoo. Bunny manages all aspects of cybersecurity from the legal side including vendor evaluation, incident response, policy creation, M&A, and compliance with state, federal, and international cybersecurity and privacy regulations.

Prior to Yahoo, Bunny worked as an outside General Counsel for a number of tech businesses advising them as a subject matter expert on their privacy and security posture. She has also been published in several books and other publications regarding computer and internet law as well as cybersecurity.

Bunny has always had a love for tech and learned to speak engineer when she first lived in DC while volunteering for MAGFest, the music and gaming festival, where she is still a department head 18 years later.
