Guillermo Christensen is a partner in the national security practice of the global law firm K&L Gates. He advises clients on cybersecurity, CFIUS, export controls, and complex technology matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Guillermo served as a CIA intelligence officer, and from 2001-2002 was the CIA Fellow at the New York Council on Foreign Relations. Most recently, Guillermo was the science and technology adviser in Paris at the U.S. Mission to the OECD where he oversaw cybersecurity and privacy issues. Guillermo is a founding member of the National Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Information Sharing Organization (NAIC-ISAO), the Association of US Cyber Forces (AUSCF), and the DC Metro Chapter of the Private Directors Association. Guillermo is an instructor on cyberlaw at the FBI CISO Academy and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches a class on AI legal skills.
