Integrated Approach to Cyber Preparedness: Leveraging E-Discovery Capabilities for Incident Response
with Christina Ayiotis (Assistant General Counsel (Senior Director), Cybersecurity, Privacy, Records, & AI, Lumen Technologies)
About this Session
This session will address three main areas:
- The importance of integrated approaches to cybersecurity generally (how Legal, Security, IT, RIM, and the Business must work together).
- What specific e-Discovery tools and techniques should be integrated into Incident Response (e.g., evidence preservation, configuration management, collection, analysis, early-case assessment, etc.).
- Protecting Attorney-Client Privileged Communications/Attorney Work Product (Internal Investigations/Litigation/Incident Response).
Most cyber conferences focus on the need for cybersecurity in e-Discovery to ensure compliance with data protection laws. Given that most large organizations will have some form of an e-Discovery program, this session turns the tables and focuses on the efficiencies achieved by Incident Response when leveraging existing e-Discovery capabilities (including protecting Attorney-Client Privileged communications as well as Attorney Work Product).
